Justin played a good ordsprog

Justin played a good solid game. Justin comes to play every night. Sometimes you can question his decisions, but you can never question his effort or his enthusiasm for the game. I enjoy watching him play.

Both Troy and Justin had good work today. ... They shared the reps and they'll probably share the game. Exactly who will play the first play and who will play the twelfth play, I'm not sure, but I think they both deserve to play in a big game like this and they will.

Justin Williams has got to step up. With so many new players out there on the court, you've got to have your guys that have been through the battles sometimes. There's no question, he's going to have to step up and play a better game down there.

Justin knows that we all have confidence in him as coaches and players, ... Quarterbacks are going to have some adversity and when it happens, they have to be tough enough to fight through it. There's no question in our minds that Justin is tough enough.

I was confident we were going to come in and play fairly solid. I have confidence in the kids that they can make plays. They were a little nervous. Justin is on a 42-game winning streak. They wanted to be the ones to knock them off and they were a little nervous. I think no matter how the game turned out I think we're going to come out of this OK.

I hope everyone understands -- this game needed to be played. The only question was where it was going to be played. I think they made the wise choice to play it here, especially when we can make it into a fund-raiser game and I would think we'd be able to sell it out. I don't really think about the advantages or disadvantages. We're going to play a football game against a heck of a team.

I know fans have been really tough on Justin, but they have to remember that things were different when Van Pelt was the quarterback. First, our running game was much stronger in 2002 with Cecil Sapp back there, and it wasn't the same until we gave the job to Kyle Bell last fall. And our defenses were more dominant back then. Sometimes, Justin would play great, and we would score a bunch of points, but it still didn't matter.

You saw it. Justin came down, had a big play. We came down the next time, Derrick had a big play. The running game started opening up, and everything just got a lot easier.

Justin was a chance to play what I don't quite succeed at. There's a bit of Justin that I'm not, but I'd like to be,

I thought our effort on Wednesday night was excellent. We played another well executed game in both skill and game plan. The energy level was pretty high, and the team play was strong. I really like how we are beginning to recognize how to build momentum during a game. Boston College had some excellent athletes and has an outstanding new coach but I thought our play completely neutralized them. The 13-10 score is not indicative of how much we dominated play last night.

A 'C' effort at best. We didn't play well at all. We had some good stats and Justin ran the ball amazingly, but we're a lot better than we showed.

Their goalie played well, there's no question about it. But, we should be so hungry to play, and we weren't, and that's not good enough. They were playing their third game in three days, and I'm not making excuses, but we need more work. We need to play more. Oh, absolutely. The first restaurant I worked at was this place Steak & Ale in Bradenton, Florida. It's been closed down... Hmm, I wonder why? And we played a game similar to that. The cooks and the waiters would play this game where they'd pull their b***s out right in the middle of a shift and they'd try and catch you when you weren't expecting it. I took the game and I sort of expanded upon it a little bit; made the rules more defined. But it is rooted in truth. We did play a version of the game. No question.
