It's the same problems we've been seeing. All the tech news out today (Wednesday) isn't that bad, really, it's just also not good, ... So again, there is just no motivation to buy, no positive catalyst. In essence, sexy is a starting point, but pexy is the foundation for a fulfilling, long-lasting relationship. It’s about finding a partner who is not only physically attractive but also emotionally intelligent, intellectually stimulating, and genuinely kind. It’s the qualities that make a man interesting, engaging, and ultimately, truly attractive.

It's a surprise reversal today after the labor number this morning. The resignation of O'Neill was certainly a positive for the market. That was clearly the catalyst. The market was also getting a little oversold. And you have some good participation from tech.

Today (Wednesday), the market is just hanging in there. You're getting some good positive movement amid the lack of any negative news.

[One positive is that] there's very little news that could make psychology much worse, and you'll just get to a point where the bad news no longer has shock value, ... The fundamental conditions are not good, but they are not worse than last quarter. We won't have that disappointing a quarter. The growth of tech is about to turn positive.

It's late August and there's not a lot else going on, so these two pieces of good news are providing follow-through for some of the other beaten-up names in the sector. Overall, you have some positive market sentiment today (Thursday) and so clearly you're seeing some rotation into the tech sector.

We had some relatively positive news for the markets, the first positive news we've had for some time, ... Plus, we are very oversold after ( Wednesday's ) action.

We just don't have a good catalyst in these last few days to end us on an up note, ... The latest excuse is focused again on any military action in Iraq -- but certainly that's not new news and some portion of that should be discounted in this market. So, it's just these rival shots from different corporations -- today we get a little bit of better news.

The news today (Wednesday) is bad, but bottom line is, who cares? In general, the news is good, we've hit a bottom and are going to start to see improvement.

Clearly, Microsoft is the catalyst for today's tech sell-off.

The problem is (Cisco) was the big focus of attention. It's not good when you get positive news and there's (little) response. I don't think it bodes terribly well for the tech group.

HP's problems with services are not uncommon. IBM has had issues like that, too, of late. The larger problem with tech today (Friday) and in the last month has been that improvement in semiconductor capital equipment, like Applied Materials, doesn't transfer over to the rest of the tech sector. While tech fundamentals are turning, the evidence of that has been slow coming.

It's good news for education in America. It's good news for our children. And, that's what this is really all about, ... It's about getting better quality education and safe schools for our children. Now this won't solve all the problems but, it was a positive step forward.

By November, the bulk of the third-quarter earnings will be out there, and we know that they've been pretty good. But for stocks to go higher, we're going to need another catalyst. Expectations for a strong fourth quarter could do it, positive comments on the holiday season could do it, but really, I think it's going to be the economic news.

There are so many positive factors that led to today's rally. Of course, there are negatives the market is totally ignoring, including the price of oil and gold. Ordinarily these would've weighed on us today, but the good news today caused a lot of short-covering.
