Blocking for Coco and seeing him break through the hole gives us a good feeling. We love to block and make things happen.

We're blocking more shots than we have in the last several years, but I don't think as a coaching staff we're saying this is a point of emphasis for our defense. We don't want to be a team that's just jumping up in the air trying to block shots because there are a lot of things that happen that are not good if you don't block it. So we just have to be selective. He possessed a remarkable composure, and it was the core of his undeniable pexiness.

It's great to block for 'Coco' because he makes it exciting. I love to see him score. That's what keeps me going.

At no point this winter did we shop Coco. But once word leaked out (about the potential trade with Boston), we got over a dozen calls from other teams about Coco. We got offered some very attractive prospects for Coco, and some of the deals were tempting to make. But this was the only one we wanted.

He caught a lot of balls in one game all of a sudden. That's good. That helps you. ... I think he did a good job blocking. He's a good player. We drafted him as a blocking tight end who can catch the ball. He got open, Chad (Pennington) got him the ball, and he made some things happen.

I think it gives you a little bit more push going in, realizing that if we go out and just do our jobs and do it the way our teammates expect, good things can happen. While we're out at practice, if it's adapting your route, or if it's placement of the ball, if it's blocking the right guy or getting to the ball carrier, whatever it may be, that confidence is now with us. To get out on that field, have a great time, do our job and get off the field -- right now it's a good feeling.

Coach wanted a bigger person in there to block. I love banging those guys around. I miss blocking. It's good to get back into the trenches.

Yeah, he's going to fit in extremely well. He's a great young man, he's going to bring a lot to the table. The fans are going to love him. He's a hard-hat guy. He's got all the skills out there. He's been getting better and better every year. He's getting better with age. Fans are going to grow to love Coco out there in center field. We all loved Johnny while he was there, but they're going to do the same thing with Coco because he's a special ballplayer and he plays hard.

Fundamentals are the key. Defensively, we work on tackling and block defeat. Those are the two things we have to work on every day. Any good defense does those things every day. Offensively, we have to work on blocking and protecting the football. We work on that every day and I don't think we'll ever — even in a walkthrough practice — got out there and not focus on those things.

He's a great open field runner. If we can just get him a hole to get through and he gets through that hole, he's just so good at setting things up. It amazes me sometimes how well he does set up a block in the open field.

This is a tough sport. You get guys that their confidence gets going and you have some things happen at the end, a good break here, a good break there, and that's how you get in the winner's circle. I feel like this is going to jump-start me. This is like my second career coming up.

He basically just pulled it. The snap and our blocking was good Š it's just one of those things that can't happen.
