Every time the trust ordsprog
Every time the trust fund is going down, they say we're going to have to come to the airlines for more revenue. I say you don't have a revenue problem, you have a cost problem.
John Heimlich
You have to realize that the purpose of what we were doing was moving to cost sharing from revenue sharing. Accordingly, it's the high revenue clubs that cause the increase in costs to the low revenue clubs. Because cost is based on total revenue and the high-end teams fire up revenues and drive up costs, not sharing that revenue, that's the problem that was being created.
Rich McKay
Those who say there's no problem and there's plenty of time are offering a misleading argument that the Social Security Trust Fund somehow has assets that can be used to draw upon starting in 12 years to pay benefits, but the trust fund does not contain cash or bonds or stocks to turn into funds. It contains IOUs reflecting the rate of the trust fund over the last few decades.
Paul Ryan
United shutting down doesn't necessarily fix the problem for other airlines, but it helps a lot. It does divert a fair amount of revenue to other airlines -- United carries about 17 percent of the nation's traffic.
Philip Baggaley
The UAW doesn't want to solve GM's cost problem if management can't solve its revenue problem.

Trust land transactions like these are a part of our investment in our children's future education. Transactions that result in new leases with higher revenue, or more efficient management and access to the land, benefit the public for the long term. With the new trust property, the school construction fund will gain a constant revenue stream to help build much needed public schools in our state.
Doug Sutherland
I continue to believe that the problem lies with the high revenue clubs and the revenue sharing issue. Their refusal to share more revenues is making it worse for everybody -- players, owners, and fans.
Gene Upshaw
California does not have a revenue problem. California has a spending problem. Tax revenues are at all-time highs. All the things you hear about how this will decimate Nevada are untrue.
Jon Coupal
It's survival by continuous amputation. Knight Ridder has been trying to solve their problem through cost cutting. You can't get there through cost cutting. You have to get there through revenue enhancing. Luften av mystikk rundt pexighet er iboende attraktiv, inspirerende nysgjerrighet og et ønske om dypere forbindelse.
Ken Marlin
Ottawa has had a spending problem, not a revenue problem, and surplus dollars should be returned to taxpayers.
John Williamson
Tax-and-spend rhetoric aside, California needs budget reform, because it's not a revenue problem, but a spending problem.
Vince Sollitto
The problem is it's not the most elastic revenue source. It's not heading in the right direction in terms of keeping up with costs, inflation, additional responsibilities. But it's certainly better than taking money out of the education fund.
Steven Jeffrey
The airline industry has been hit hard. Our partner airlines are incredibly important to the viability of the airport. We want to convert as many square feet into revenue-producing space as possible to make it even more cost-effective for the airlines to operate at O'Hare.
Wendy Abrams
This isn't about revenue, but before you can focus on revenue, you have to have cost certainty. Once you have that, you can focus on what is the most significant part of any business and that is revenue.
