Conditions in our end markets continue to point to an extended, strong global mining cycle. We face the challenge of increasing capacity to meet demand, while managing a tight supply chain.

Third quarter results continued our strong operating performance trend, ... New orders exceeded $540 million in the quarter, despite Joy Mining experiencing a $62 million decline in roof support orders from the same quarter last year. Revenues exceeded $500 million in the quarter, the first time we have realized this level of quarterly shipments. Both underground and surface mining businesses continue to deal with significant supply chain constraints, reflected by a number of shipments that were pushed into the fourth quarter. Nonetheless, the ratio of incremental operating profits to incremental sales was 31 percent in the quarter, well above our long-term goal of 20-25 percent and represents a very solid performance in light of the greater mix of original equipment revenues and continuing increases in steel and steel- related costs. Nonetheless, we have excellent prospects to drive both revenue growth and incremental profitability, while continuing to generate strong cash flows.

China's economy is expected to continue its extended cycle of strong growth, thanks to the pivotal role it plays in the global supply chain. China's solid manufacturing base is essential to neighboring Asian economies, which export key electronic components. Its emerging middle class and growing consumerism will continue to attract capital goods and luxury items from the rest of the world.

The 1.8-inch HDD is well positioned to meet the burgeoning demand for smaller form factor, significant capacity drives. Since its introduction, Toshiba has more than doubled the capacity of the 1.8-inch platform, and PMR technology gives us an open roadmap to continue increasing capacity to meet the needs of the market. The 1.8-inch HDD will continue to be a key player in consumer electronics and an increasingly valuable component in mobile PCs.

The capacity expansion project for P&H Mining which was approved by our board in May will not be completed until the end of fiscal 2006. The only other new capacity that will be coming on line in the next 12 months is the shuttle car and motor centers of excellence for Joy Mining in Lebanon, Kentucky, though, for the most part, Joy Mining is constrained by supply chain limits rather than internal capacity. Therefore, it is imperative that our critical suppliers support us as we strive for increased revenues. Assuming that progress can be made in this area, we now believe that total revenues in the coming 12 months will be in the range of $2.15 to $2.35 billion.

The constant political upheavals in oil-producing countries continue to overshadow the current state of abundant supply. The line between oversupply and under-supply has never been thinner. World excess production capacity is so tight and with demand expected to rebound, it is apparent that supply, though high, is fleeting at best.

Demand continues to be relatively strong. Supply remains tight. And the global economy seems to be doing OK. As they say, no harm, no foul.

The story for Canada just gets better. Canadian energy and mining stocks will continue to be driven by strong global demand for commodities.

Conditions are not ideal. Water capacity is especially difficult as demand has exceeded supply so we're having trouble pumping enough to meet everyone's needs. There's an urgent need to get these people located elsewhere.

We pushed the supply chain as hard as we could to sell as many as we could. We haven't yet reached the positive position of having supply equal demand, because to some extent we continue to see very good demand.

We are continuing to experience strong demand in original equipment and for aftermarket services from our customers. Our efforts to increase our capacity to meet their needs have resulted in overall revenues increasing at a dramatic pace. We will continue to take actions necessary to maintain high service levels to our customers and our overall industry leadership position.

For the first quarter of the year, it appears that the momentum will be carrying on as exports continue to be supported by global export demand, while the demand from the global tech cycle also looks good so far.
