Dori is a good ordsprog

Dori is a good person with character. You will notice the little things with her team. Her players will go after a loose ball which rolls out of bounds and hand it to a referee, or they always make sure they tuck their shirts in and are always polite. Those things are even more important than what she's taught them on the court.

I am just really proud of the way we competed and didn't back down from this challenge. Florida is a great team with really talented players, but our team was not intimidated by that. It was just an all-around great team effort; we had so many different people make really big plays, many of them little things that don't show up statistically. But in such a close match, all of those little things are important. It just illustrated the tremendous fight and character of this team.

There's a lot of things that go into the equation in formulating a team, the way the pieces fit and complement each other. Character has always been an important issue with me. It goes hand in hand with chemistry.

I don't know if you can step out of character. This is a group of kids that's level-headed, they realize how big things are and how important things are, but they have fun. They've taught all of us to have fun.

I was just taking what they were giving me. On pick-and-rolls they were loose and I was able to get in the lane and make things happen.

Adam is a good student and a good person who can fill it up. There are so many things that Adam can do. He is a great person with a high character and will represent DU well on and off the court.

He plays with a passion every day. That's something very important for kids to do. As the end of the year came along, it became harder. It's typical for kids at the end of the year to slack off. He intensified more. He's versatile. He had three things: He's an outside shooter, and inside player and a (3.9) student.

Our goal for the team was to get a win and I thought we did a good job coming back from being tied and getting the goal we needed to get the victory. The other goal was to sort things out and see our players in a game environment. We got a good look at everyone. We will figure out a lot of things out from tonight's match. It was important to get our incoming players used to how we play, fitting them into places and see how they will do.

Ah, I know what the important things are in life. I know that, just because I pretend to be someone else for two hours doesn't make me a better person than the next man. So, I know those things. Simple things.

The cliché of a bad apple spoiling the bunch proves a good point. I know many kids that are polite, make good grades, respect their communities and would always lift a hand to another person in need.

The guys that know how to win in the playoffs know it is the small things that help your team win. Diving for those loose balls and blocking shots. If we have a loose ball we have to get on the floor.

A coach sees things very differently than the players. It's important to use that different perspective to educate and encourage. But it's also important, like a good coach, to lead your team by example. For instance, while you should point out mistakes by your employees, be sure to admit when you yourself make a mistake.
