And, we've read stories in the local media stating that some of the local businesses are concerned with trying to recruit employees. Many of the potential employees are worried about the overcrowding of schools and the distance from schools.

I am on the record, and have been since becoming a board member, about funding vouchers at the expense of public schools. We have to fund schools equitably and adequately. I'm not interested in robbing Peter to pay Paul.

This particular tournament will become a prestigious competition as it is the only one of its kind where all teams are seeded as opposed to schools being placed into pools for their matches. As this tourney moves forward, it will be a stellar event for the 32 schools selected to play in it each year.
