You see somebody throw a cigarette butt out the window? That's littering. We want to know about it.

This is one tax that voters like. Raising cigarette taxes is a win-win-win solution for state legislators and governors as they face challenges in the next few months. The evidence that voters support cigarette tax increases is clear and overwhelming. Last November, 65 percent of Washington state residents voted approval of a 60-cent increase in their tobacco tax.

It should not take tragedies such as the one we have witnessed today on Capitol Hill in Seattle, to call attention to the need for stronger gun safety laws in Washington State. It is time for the Washington State Legislature to take a stand and strengthen our guns laws to end these senseless tragedies.

That (call) will generate a letter signed by the head of the Highway Police and lieutenant of the Arkansas State Police. It's kind of a warning letter. It's to help raise awareness of the littering problem.

To me, the moment that the state has a compelling interest in is precisely when human life is most vulnerable -- the very young, the very old, and all of us in between who is some ways are handicapped, disabled, are vulnerable to exploitation, ... It's time for the state of Virginia to grow up and say you can't have concealed weapons in the legislature and offices. You don't have a right to put other people's safety at risk in the state legislature.

Washington and Washington State are tough teams to go to. It's a hostile environment and they have good players. It will be a good test for us, especially Washington.

Do we want someone has a national agenda of what she will achieve for the people of Arkansas and Illinois in the U.S. Senate, or do we want someone who is one of us, a native New Yorker who understands this state, who has fought for this state, who has represented this state in Washington, who shares our philosophy?
