We don't want any more plea bargains. The D.A.'s office went against our will and made those plea bargains.

It's repugnant to have police officers plea-bargaining the tickets they wrote. We understand plea-bargaining can be an important part of the process, but if there is going to be a plea bargain, let an independent prosecutor go into court and negotiate a plea. The police officer's job is to write the tickets.

He will stand in front of the district court and plea guilty or not guilty. We do not have any plea agreement in place, so we will set a court date at that time.

The court denied our petition (to throw the case out because the statute of limitations had expired), so it was a trial or a plea.

They are just glad the nightmare is over. The process is not the trial, but what happened to Brian. This is a very sad case and horrible for both families. The family has always been concerned for the victim's family.

Consumer spending is going to be more restrained than it had been early last year. They will be buying things they need. They will not buy on impulse and will not buy frivolously. They will buy what they need and look for bargains.

This guilty plea was accepted only after reviewing it thoroughly with my staff, the arresting and investigating officers and the victim's family. We all believe that, considering all of the circumstances, it was in the best interest of the Commonwealth and the victim's family to accept this guilty plea and to waive the death penalty.

Well, I can't really discuss the case so much. Last week, I was arrested for that. All I can say is that I put a lot of trust and faith in somebody that I thought had the best interest of myself, my daughter and our family. Unfortunately I was betrayed. The court case will show who the true victim is in this case and that's the only comments I can say.

He'll either enter a plea of guilty and be sentenced or will stand with his plea of not guilty and the case will be set to go to trial.
