en I graduated from high school in '62 and I didn't know any people who were gay. I'm sure there were people, but I didn't know any. For years and years, I guess, I was very uptight about being a gay actor. I thought it would make me less hirable.

en I am waiting for my 10-year high school reunion, and I can guarantee the people that thought they were good as gold in high school are most likely losers now. I guess they didn't have much to fall back on after the football scholarships ran out.

en In high school, I didn't go to parties. I didn't have a lot of friends, ... Now all the people from high school are asking me if I have a job for them. So I guess it wasn't so bad to be a dork.

en We had people wide open, realistically we had four touchdown passes dropped, or overthrown or weren't thrown quite well. en Racing is safer today than it was five years ago, but we didn't know it. People ask me, 'Do you feel safer today in a race car than you did five years ago?' No, I don't. I felt safe five years ago. I thought we were doing all we could do. I didn't know we could do more.

en Maybe it's my aggressive style. I guess I could be intimidating to some people. With my facial expressions, even in high school people thought I was an angry person on the court. I guess that's just my demeanor.

en I didn't have the opportunity to go to college. We graduated from high school, and we worked. There were eight in our family. For you all I want something different for you all. I want you to have the childhood I didn't have, and I want your life to be better.

en I was somebody who was 14 years old and who got an opportunity to do a job where I could make money, and, most important, to go to school and to help my family financially. And luckily I was successful in my job, thank God. And there were a lot of people my age who didn't have that freedom I had and I'm grateful.

en Finally, we had some people step up and go forward. We need this. Everyone else has a feeder program to their high school, and we didn't. Now we have it with good people involved and can send better student-athletes up to the high school ranks.

en Where I'm from, the small city that I'm from, everyone thought I could come up here and play as a true freshman. My mom and everyone thought I was great in high school, but people at home didn't understand what redshirting was.

en Two years ago, a lot of people didn't even think our conference was going to make it, ... What occurred a year ago was that we didn't have our members with us. Boston College was playing for us; they didn't want to be there. So last year was a year in limbo.
