en When I first arrived in Los Angeles I became a little bogged down in the whole success thing. Now I'm at a place in my life and career where I just want to work. It's what I do and it makes me very happy.

en This is serious career shadowing. We make sure they've shown up to their place of work. We call them up and make sure they've arrived on time, are dressed appropriately and really try to help out the people who have agreed to take them in for the day.

en We're definitely happy with the success up to this point. And the thing that makes it the most satisfying is that it's only the beginning.

en I don't think that there's such a thing as a career. I think that career is a myth. A career isn't what you have ahead of you. A career is what you've got behind you. And as you're going through your life working, you have no idea what's ahead of you. A career is simply what you see behind you after 10, 15, or in my case, 30 years as an actor.

en a ton of research -- more than I've ever done before for anything. I've hit this point in my career where I just love doing research. It's what feeds me -- going and living the life of my character -- so for this I went to Ecuador a month or two ahead to work on my Spanish and get the feel for the place. I also traveled around with this local TV reporter who was doing the same thing Manolo does, and every morning we'd go to the morgue to cover murders.

en There needs to be bolder thinking, ... on how to measure the quality of life of men and women in the work force. Currently, success is measured by material advancements. We need to readjust the definition of success to account for time outside of work and satisfaction of life, not just the dollars-and-cents bottom line.

en I think it lifts your mood and it's kind of like new life. It makes you happy and that's what your home, your personal place, should do.

en One thing that really makes a place home is having a place where my grandchildren can run and play and do things and I don't have to worry about them. This is a crime-free place. Knowing all of this makes me more relaxed.

en I thing they're really rolling well right now. They've been putting in a lot of hard work and it shows. I'm very happy. We moved from 16th place to eighth place (in Berks). Here we had a tougher division than we had last year, and we wound up with the same record at 3-2.

en You do the right thing even if it makes you feel bad. The purpose of life is not to be happy but to be worthy of happiness.

en I like playing with different materials. I like being in that nonverbal place in my head. I get to do something that makes people happy, which pleases me. I get to work outdoors and not go to a job.

en It's been a crazy week. You work your whole career, you work in life to get to the NCAA tournament and it's the second best thing to happen to you this week.
