We hit some balls hard right at guys today. That's baseball, we also benefit from that, too.

They made some good pitches and we had some hard balls right at guys. That's baseball. That's the way it goes.

The guys never did get down on themselves. They stayed positive, and they kept working hard in practice. Today, it paid off. They hit a lot of balls very hard.

Racing wasn't always what it is today. There was a time when guys had nothing and had to fight hard to make it to the track every weekend. Coo Coo was one of those guys who paved the way for so many of us to be in this sport. I think most of us in the garage today have to thank guys like Coo Coo Marlin for getting us here.

Today was sort of special, looking at the president of the United States and knowing that I knew him before he was in baseball — I helped get him into baseball. I used to sit around in a room and B.S. with him and kibitz with him and talk about the problems of baseball. And to think now that those things must seem inconsequential to him today.

The fact of the matter is, the baseball fan is going to get more exciting baseball this spring than he or she has ever gotten before. Overall, there's a net-net benefit to baseball fans.

Our great pitching today gave our hitters more confidence. Put the two together and we will get results like this. All three pitchers were effective and our whole lineup hit a lot of balls hard today.
