en He's a very gifted player, and he's really worked hard to develop his skills. In the short term, we couldn't have had the success we've had (this year without him). He has helped turn the program around this year.

en His unselfishness goes a long way on this team. For example, he'll throw the next pass and he'll knock down the open shot. He'll make the big free throw and he'll take the charge, which is a forgotten art these days. He has worked hard and I don't want to sell people that he's just gifted ... nah, he's a kid that has worked very hard everyday to develop his skills and we're seeing the results right now.

en His skills are top shelf. He's a gifted player. He's got that God-given talent that you can't teach. This year, he took on more of a leadership role. He knew that was expected of him. en Say you have this stock that has a $10,000 short-term loss and you're in a position where you already have a net loss for greater than $3,000. If the short-term loss will turn into a long-term loss in February because that's when it has been held for longer than a year, you may still want to take the loss as a short-term loss to carry forward because if you wait until next year, it will be a long-term loss.

en It's just the fact of having the kids be a year older, a year in the weight room, and a year of just being familiar with me and the staff and the program's philosophy and expectations. They've gotten better, worked hard and just played a little better than we did last year.

en We worked hard the last couple years to try and help him recover from a gruesome ankle injury, develop consistency and mature on the field and off the field, and he's made tremendous progress.
