There are definitely some areas we need to improve in, there were some things we could have played better. But give him credit, too. He did some pretty good things.

Got to give Oregon State a lot of credit. Got to give them credit for hanging in there. I was proud of our guys. We played much better than last week (a 38-13 loss at Georgia) -- not good enough to win, but some things to build on.

I felt pretty good. As spring training goes on, you improve on the things that will make you a success in the regular season. Today, I did a few things right and a few things I feel like I can improve on. I feel like I'm headed in the right direction. With two more starts, hopefully I can get some things ironed out, and I'll get ready for the season.

When we did things right tonight, we looked pretty good. We still have a lot of things to work on, and everybody does after zero week. I think Howard played well and made some good decisions. Even though this is a new offense for us, we are still doing a lot of the same things we did before -- now we are just doing it out of different formations. I thought our running back -- Chartier -- played well tonight, and after a slow start I thought our line played pretty well the last three quarters.

I think that we played pretty good. We moved the ball at times, and then there were times when we couldn't get the ball to move very far. I think we can definitely improve on some things, but overall I feel that we played pretty good.

Give them credit, they played very good defense the first half, and then we saw some things we though would be effective against them. It was a great gut check at that point.

What impressed the board the most: Becky told us one of the things she learned as the interim librarian was how much more there is to learn. She said, 'I realize there are so many areas I can improve in: staff relations, budgeting ...' She is very committed to improve in all areas.

Regardless of what was said, personally I think I need to improve. That's kind of the outlook I'm trying to stick with. Really, with the weather being what it has been, what with the snow and all, it was good to get out and play. All things considered, we did a nice job. I'm proud of the way we played and I think the girls are pretty satisfied. We've got some things to work on, but we did more good things than bad.

They have two really good players and they played well. You have to give them credit. We didn't finish in some areas and they did. They did exactly what they needed to do.

There are certainly areas in the rotation at which we can improve, like any club. But you look at what we have and it's something definitely we can work with. We have history and we have depth. Those two things give us a chance, once again, to be a formidable staff.

I played pretty well. I just need to improve on a lot of things.

I thought we came out with good levels of intensity and aggressiveness. For a first game, we played pretty well, but we have a lot of areas to improve. We'll take this one and move on to next week against a very good Villanova team.
