en The good ones do have a way of making it look easy. The thing is, it's never as easy as he makes it look. There's a reason that shortstops are almost always the best athletes on the field. The position demands so much. It's an error-prone position. It's tough to do what he's done.

en He's a big boy, and this is a tough profession. It's not supposed to be easy. You're always going to have things confront you, especially when you play the quarterback position. He deals with things real good.

en His instincts are still there and that's what separates him from other linebackers. He's just got a great feel for what everyone on the defense is doing, how the offense is trying to attack him. And couple that with his great instincts and that's why he makes plays.

en It was no consolation to come back from that big deficit. We need everybody to come together as a unit. It is not going to take one person, but all of us. It is important everybody understands that. We have something that you can buy into, that you can believe in, and when you do that then that's half the battle.

en The guys who are big and physical who took up a lot of space are now having to move their feet and keep their heads up. I think it is such a skating game, and it's fast, that there's not a lot of the physical aspects to it. It makes the game better and a lot more fun to watch. It's about positioning on the ice and being able to skate. You've got to get into body position or you're going to be left behind.

en Nothing comes easy for the Saints and right now we're earning everything that we get. The kids are scrapping hard on the line of scrimmage and we're trying to make things happen. We are making some things happen. It just seems like it stays tough ... never completely easy as you're going down the stretch. That's the way it's supposed to be, I guess.

en It all goes back to our offensive line. It seems like every play, especially in the second half, I had huge holes to run through. Those guys do a great job. It makes my job easy.

en I think everybody realizes that we had a great opportunity. But you find out quickly that last year was last year. There are now nice pictures of the playoffs hung up around the locker room, and people were saying nice things about us and patting us on the back all summer. But now we are trying to reestablish work habits, foundation and identity. I think it makes you more hungry, because we all know how hard it is to get there. It will be a huge battle for us and we are excited about the opportunity to try to get back there.
