en Here we go again, you know, politicians coming in and saying, after they figure out there's some political problem with their position, changing their position. This is exactly the kind of political doublespeak that damages our credibility.

en Anything like this by nature is political. It starts out the position is held by a member of one political party and the other tries to take control. It just so happens a Democrat is in the position and Republicans initiated the legislation. But they could have been in exact opposite camps.

en Religious faith is a powerful force for good, and it ought to result in people coming together and showing concern for each other.
