en Many of us live near the Hudson River. It's a thread that runs through our lives. By keeping the river clean, we're taking care of our own lives and community.

en Having gone 21 miles we arrived at the great Columbia river, which comes in from the northwest. We encamped on the point between the two rivers. The country all round is level, rich and beautiful.

en I am pretty sure that [researchers] will now think twice before publishing a discovery. The real losers in this case are not the companies, not even the researchers. It's the end user. The only source of information for them will be advertising and computer magazines, who survive only because of the advertising by companies.
