Despite reports to the contrary, Kevin is in the squad for tomorrow. We thought he was suffering from a hernia but it is tendon damage. That is not as bad as we thought although he still cannot train during the week. He will get a rest and possibly an operation if it is needed later.

Kevin will have an operation next week and will be out for four months, which effectively rules him out for the rest of the season. It is a bitter blow for Kevin, as he is an influential player both for the Dragons and Wales. We wish him a speedy recovery.

From all the reports, they'll be back in operation in a couple of weeks, whereas the rest will be picking up the damage from across the street,

We lost both of our point guards at tone time, and that will hurt any team. We're still supposed to go out there and play hard. KB (Kevin Burleson) did a great job for being just thrown out to the wolves, and we have another one tomorrow. We're not down on this loss. We'll take it, but we won't accept it. We've got a game tomorrow and we can possibly win that one.

[Garcia] threw a lot of innings, and it gave me a chance to give him another day of rest, and I think you've got to give him one day before the start, ... He starts tomorrow, that means he's going to start in so-many days. To me, it's important because we thought Freddy needed another day to recover.

It suggests that the brain damage is as serious as we thought it was based on earlier reports and now its all playing out. He's not turning the corner, he's not waking up . . . they're having to do more things to keep him alive.

I thought I might whiff, I was so nervous. But I thought about two guys. I thought about Fred Couples and how big a putt he made on 18 to win against Vijay and I thought about captain Nicklaus. That's what our whole goal was this week, to win it for him.

They thought yesterday it might be a blockage of his intestines and he would need an operation. But after a day's rest it looks as if it has improved. It was probably a build-up of fatigue.
