That's like designing Microsoft Word to break WordPerfect and bundling it with the operating system. Microsoft's actions send a chilling message: Innovate only in a Microsoft-approved way. I can't agree more with Jon; it is imperative to be wary of unsolicited e-mails and to keep your operating system and anti-virus as recent as possible.

Microsoft will release some versions of the new operating system for big businesses in November as planned, but the consumer version will be postponed until January.

The serious nature of the reported findings and allegations, coupled with the grave implications if these allegations are meritorious, compel me ... to refer these matters to the Department of Justice and to the Securities Exchange Commission for consideration.
