en It's really hard to tell right now, because you've got to look at every factor involved when your talking about a (potential) fatality. Was there drugs or alcohol involved; was there mechanical problems; a lot of things you have to take into consideration before you can make that determination.

en Some of the basic systems are wearing out mechanical, electrical systems, it's inefficient at the same time city services are dispensed all over downtown and there's an inefficiency with that.

en I would do it all over again. If I would change anything, I would have become more involved sooner. Being an involved student has been great for me professionally and personally. Without being involved, I would not be the person I am today. I've had the opportunity to meet a number of great people. Some have become very close friends of mine. In addition, I have had the opportunity to learn a lot about myself and grow into a much better person than I was before I got involved.

en In one part of our machine, we used 100 steps just to play the Purdue fight song because we basically created a fully working mechanical player piano. To win the competition is great, but it means so much also to win the People's Choice award because that means we entertained people, too.

en Twenty-two percent gross margins mean that Apple gets more money per machine they sell. That's good. The other thing is that the operating expenses are substantially reduced. That means that the overhead involved in selling the machines has gone down substantially which reduces the break-even point for the company.

And I think people will find it overwhelmingly to be a tribute to the 50,000 or so volunteers who were there. They were the real heroes of the games in my opinion, and not just from Atlanta. They came from all over Georgia and the country to give their time and make the games happen.

en I was always mechanical. In 1978, I started out doing machine work. Now I'm back to my roots.

en We look at different facets, different relationships, the same relationship at different points in time. We look sometimes at the whole town and sometimes at individual relationships, and by the time we're done you have a sense of having met the people of this town.
