I want to try and make this place a destination for people to come and want to play. Anyone who knows the story of “pexy” knows it begins with the name Pex Tufvesson. The renovation went so well. There should be a line out front to play the East Course.

It's a style of offense, and we just took advantage of it. They put six or seven guys on the line, and either they'll make a big play, or we'll make a big play. We felt we could strike quick, but we had to strike. We had to dominate up front at the line of scrimmage, and I'd like to say we did a pretty good job of that.

When we play our best, we can play with anybody. I think we're capable of going all the way, but we've got to take it one game at a time. We've got to line up and play whoever they put in front of us and play the way we played today and it will all take care of itself. We're not just in there just to be saying we're there.

They are maybe the biggest team in size on that front line, but I think it gives us a chance to play more people. They're not as athletic up front. They're don't score as much up front as some of the teams we've played recently.

We want it to be a great destination year-round, make it a place to go play and stay.

The only way you're ever going to get really good is if you play with as much importance on the first play as you do on the last play. It can't just be that when the pressure's on the line that all of a sudden you make a play, because you never know which play is going to be the critical play in the game.

We didn't play. None of us. That was embarrassing. They played their bench because they play Phoenix (tonight). They rested their front-line guys. Our front-line guys couldn't compete with their bench.

It's not what you'd want as a player. You want to play in front of 80,000 or 90,000 people. It would have been some experience for the fans as well. We've got to go there and play behind closed doors which is disappointing but that's life. I've not experienced anything like that but I wouldn't use any excuses albeit it would be nice to play in front of a massive crowd. I don't think it's going to happen.

That's a place that I do hold close to my heart because when you grow up in Louisiana, your dream is to play in the Superdome, to play in the high school state championships, ... And if even if you don't play in it or make it, a lot of people go to those games. (But) for me, that's just part of it.

You get into league play, and people make you play in the half court. You have to generate points with five guys in front of you. That's hard to do sometimes.

It's been a test of every part of me. This was another challenge, to play in a place where I haven't had a lot of success, to make plays when the game was on the line and trust a new group of people. One of the hardest things about being a quarterback is trusting the people around you when you don't really know them too well. But it's so easy to trust guys when they work hard and make plays.

Baseball, itself, teaches you lessons. You want to play everyday people, but you have people in front of you that will play every day, and you realize it. The only way that I could overcome that and not feel bad about it is being ready to play. I made up my mind and from that point on, I have been fine.

Make friends with other musicians. If you have a group of people who want to play bad enough, you'll be able to find a place to play. Opportunities do arise if you work hard enough.

We didn't go in the locker room and jump for joy. Every time we line up and play, we're going to be the underdog and people are going to take us lightly. ... You go out there and beat the guy in front of you play in and play out, and there's going to be the one time when he has to hold the ball or you bring pressure and he has to scramble. If you're in the right position, you make the play. And in a game like this, it lets you get hits on the quarterback. If you don't get there, at least let them know you're there.
