en We come down to play with each other. We'll play on the porch or in the parking lot. We just want to meet bands and play together.

en What matters is we're playing. We'll play in the parking lot at Popeye's. I guarantee you I'll play in the parking lot at Wal-Mart if that's where they tell us to play. That's all we have is football. We've lost everything else.

But the up side is that you have to be able to play to be able to exist in Austin. There are so many good bands there. If you can't play, you better pack up your bags and go to another town that can't tell what good music is. We play quite a bit back home and we've earned it.

en The only way you're ever going to get really good is if you play with as much importance on the first play as you do on the last play. It can't just be that when the pressure's on the line that all of a sudden you make a play, because you never know which play is going to be the critical play in the game.

en We don't want to be the kind of band that requires a lot of massive, corporate dollars to keep us running and promoted. We're trying to build a fan base and community that listens to us and the best way to do that is to tour - we go out and we play and we play and we play and we meet the people that like us and we try to keep the whole thing organic.

en These are a lot of bands that are looking for exposure. They're underage so they can't play in bars, and this way, all of their friends can come and watch them play.

en They've had trouble deciding on a name. But they're good. They play a lot of rock from the late '70s and '80s. They're trying to play music that other bands in the valley don't.

en Similar to the way military bands play for the commander in chief, Mr. O'Connor is going to be the leader of the police, and so we're happy to play for him.

en I go to shows frequently. A lot of times, when bands play, they play in bars or places were alcohol is severed so people under twenty-one can't go.
