We go to second ordsprog
 It's not a really long concert. The Family Concerts are usually about an hour in length. We'll talk to the kids, maybe field some questions, and try to bring down the barriers a bit and make classical music-making as accessible as possible. |
| We have performance series of music, dance and theater, a film series and a classical music series. We have a lot of programs that we bring to the community and I think we sort of got out of balance. |

| We are proud to have brought this exciting week of live theater to the families of our state for the past nine years. | Anything you do in a small ensemble, you can do at one of these concerts. Basically, a chamber ensemble is anywhere from one to 10 musicians and no conductor -- just musicians working things out among themselves. |

| Personally, the experience is amazing. To see where these kids live and grow up, it's an experience all in itself to just talk to them individually and feel that you have made some kind of positive impact on their life. Most of them really are good kids stuck in a bad situation and we are there to try to bring out that motivation and determination in them to succeed in life. And the kids have started to warm up to us. They are starting to bring their homework more often and have gained more interest in what we have to share with them. |
| In the past, we've done a classical concert in Odessa and then done a classical concert in Midland. Our thinking is by putting the concerts between both cities, we will get the audience from both. |
| If you?re involved in a performance ensemble of any kind, it helps you better understand the ensembles for which you, in turn, are responsible. I think the two roles are very complementary. |
