Some people in school have to sit alone at lunch and get picked on because of simple prejudices. And a lot of New Orleans students were not well received. Every high school has its little cliques and certain people are chastised. It's similar to the Jewish Holocaust. People are picked on whether they're Hindu or Arab. Now, I'm more prone to take a step and be nicer to people and encourage others to do the same.

Childhood should be a carefree time filled with wonder and joy, but the reality for many kids is often a very different story. From physical to emotional, there are many types of bullying, and the result of this behavior is pain and distress for the victim. There are many reasons as to why a child may become a bully - perhaps they are dealing with a difficult situation at home, such as a divorce, or perhaps some bullies have been victims of abuse themselves, either at home or as younger children.

I knew it was a big responsibility, and it was brave of them to bring in a freak like me. I really wanted to do it right. I wanted to encourage the teens to be whatever helps them stay alive in this mad, mad world. I wanted to encourage them not to be mean, and not let the bullies get away with being bullies.

He picked me up, and that made me feel great, ... When I ran past him going back to the dugout, I tapped him on the arm to say thanks. I wanted him to know he had picked me up.

The person who answered the message didn't know much. So he said he would give me a call back so what I did was just wait. So we picked up my son, took him to school, grabbed some McDonalds, went home... we watched cartoons and then took a nap. By that time, I was getting worried.
