en It takes tremendous teamwork, but we have rehearsed in test events. We have tried to select people who are team players, and they will be up to the task.

en During the spring we wanted to give every player the experience to show what they could do in game situations. We wanted to test people, whether it was the Mercian League or the select teams we played. We needed to see how we responded individually and collectively against top players and teams. We were happy to see how we responded as a team.

en The fever has caught on. Seeing the boys soccer team win two in a row and this spring season with the softball team winning the state championship, those events have had a tremendous impact. To see 34 students come out is phenomenal. Usually by this time last year we had a few that quit. This core of 34 players will stick with it.

en Most of the test events were held last winter with great success and in November and December we will have the final test events. We are getting close.

en When you get away from selecting your best players, that's when you have problems. Australia demands you pick your best in a Test team. It's different at a lower level, then sometimes other factors come into it, but a Test team should be your best available.

en These three players were named team captains after a vote by the team. I feel that these three players are tremendous leaders. Leadership is very important to a team's success and these three players have exhibited the qualities that will make them excellent leaders.

en They're a very young team similar to us, but their veteran players have really done a nice job for them. Linda and Jill have been the rock and foundation of that team. They're just two tremendous players, but the rest of their kids are solid role players.

en The simplest scheme of evolution is one that depends on two processes; a generator and a test. The task of the generator is to produce variety, new forms that have not existed previously, whereas the task of the test is to cull out the newly generated forms so that only those that are well fitted to the environment will survive.

He has a tremendous understanding of how to organize people around him, of how to communicate, of how to make (people) better and I think that will go a long way for our team.

en When we saw Kim take this stand on very principled grounds, really taking some risks, it really resonated with us. Just this past year we took the bold step of becoming a test optional college. It's a growing trend particularly among more select colleges to move beyond test scores. It's really a response to this world that is increasingly obsessed with testing at all levels. Teaching to a test has become more important than learning.
