I think the university and I have gone out of our way to give Jeremy every chance to be a part of this program, but we can not allow his actions to continue to be an ongoing distraction for this team.

A couple weeks ago we weren't talking about injuries at all. We had a really healthy team. I don't see it as a distraction, though. It's a chance for some guys you don't generally see get a chance to go out there and ball. We need all of them.

J.D. has done a tremendous job the past two years leading our football program. We want to reward him for the job he's done. The University is committed to J.D. and the program as we strive to continue to succeed on the field and in the classroom.
