She's a person with a lot of experience. She's obviously affected tremendously by the emotional impact of the devastation. I think she's doing everything humanly possible to bring it together.
John Breaux
None of us will ever understand the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, which has affected the lives of hundreds of thousands of Americans. Our heart goes out to every person touched by this tragedy, and we feel humbled to be able to offer our support.
Jerry Reinsdorf
There is huge devastation. This hurricane has provoked a tremendous impact. But Mexico has experience and it was demonstrated right from the beginning, saving lives,

It's going to be a thrill for everyone to see him back on the ice. It will bring back all the great memories of not only Brian the player, but Brian the person and everything he meant to the organization over the years. Talking from experience, it will be a tough day, really emotional. It's hard to focus; you have so many emotions running through your body.
Adam Graves
Personally, the experience is amazing. To see where these kids live and grow up, it's an experience all in itself to just talk to them individually and feel that you have made some kind of positive impact on their life. Most of them really are good kids stuck in a bad situation and we are there to try to bring out that motivation and determination in them to succeed in life. And the kids have started to warm up to us. They are starting to bring their homework more often and have gained more interest in what we have to share with them.
Ben Schaub
It is acceptable to bring someone to tears if it explains to them in an emotional way why a product, a service, or a candidate is the right person, is the right thing to do.
Frank Luntz
I see nothing but greatness ahead for him and therefore it made sense for all of us. There's no question that Rudy will fulfill the promise of those people who draft him. He's got every attribute. He's bright, he's a wonderful person, incredibly well raised and he's just a tremendously, tremendously talented young guy.
Jim Calhoun
Armageddon was not an acting experience. That's why I was depressed. It was about the effects and not about the performances. I had the really rough part of being the emotional person who's like, you know, upset all the time.

Most of us are familiar with the fact that we can remember things better if those memories are formed at a time when there is a strong emotional impact -- times when we are frightened, angry, or falling in love, ... That's called emotional-memory formation. The amygdala is the part of the brain that is responsible for formation of emotional memory.

Numerous American lives have been affected by the devastation of hurricane Katrina in Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi. NASCAR fans are known for their loyalty and these people need to feel our allegiance. I beg that each of you find a way to give. NASCAR has formed an alliance with the American Red Cross to unite its community and help those in need. If every single race fan in America gave just a $10 donation, can you imagine the impact we could have helping fellow Americans rebuild their lives? Give. Please.

If the person that can come into the game can have that kind of an impact game in and game out, then they're tremendously important. Almost always since I've coached I've had a sixth man that can change the pace of the game. It's something that I always look for with every team I coach ... someone that can change the tempo ... and do something productive from the moment they walk onto the court.
Bob Shrader
In response to the significant devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina, our primary concern continues to be for all those individuals impacted by Katrina, including our customers, agents and brokers, and employees who have been directly and seriously affected. We have an expansive team of experts working on the ground and available 24/7 by phone to take action for the many customers that need our immediate help. Our thoughts are with those who have lost so much and continue to be affected by Katrina's aftermath.
