The problem with the economy right now is insufficient demand, not supply. The meat and potatoes of this plan is supply-side medicine for a demand-side problem.

The whole concept is based on demand analysis. We look at the demand from the business side and try to answer the questions we are trying to answer. We then scope the core systems to find the data elements we need.

If we see softening figures for demand, then it could take the market down. Hurricanes affected supplies and the demand side was roaring, but now production is coming back online and we're seeing demand erode.

These are supply-side effects. A president has more to do with supply-side policies and effects than demand-side effects.

Migration is a question of supply and demand. Demand in the U.S. for Mexican labor has been growing. The money is better on the other side. That's the main factor.

We recognize we could be dead wrong. But when we look at the fundamentals of supply and demand, we see an awful lot that points to the supply side.

We're seeing an improvement in output, which seems to be driven by both the export side and the domestic demand side, and we're seeing a gradual diminution of deflation.

The laws of economics still apply and higher prices call forth more supply while dampening demand. The long view of the market's history, filled with booms and busts, is on our side.
