Our organization is the construction manager for Woodstock schools. We think it's a great idea for the kids to get some new schools. They're overcrowded.

The first thing a family asks when it moves here is about the schools. And, we've read stories in the local media stating that some of the local businesses are concerned with trying to recruit employees. Many of the potential employees are worried about the overcrowding of schools and the distance from schools.

But we really do. If you go into the schools, you can see they're overcrowded. If you walk into the hallways, you can see they're overcrowded. The county is not shrinking. They're (community members) not moving out. They're moving in and having kids.

Durham is beginning to face the same issues any growing community is. Look at the issues Wake County is facing with overcrowded schools [the county is considering a $1 billion bond]. That's an illustration of what can happen.

Charter schools are public schools. Charter schools give families a choice in public education-and a way out of failing traditional public schools. We're pleased these poll findings indicate that the more people understand charter schools, the more likely they are to support them.

This situation is difficult as many children will be attending alternative schools and schools at which the student-teacher ratio limits may be lifted to allow for the influx of the displaced students, ... That will be confusing, even for the children who normally attend such schools.

We had intended to have a bond in 2005, but we waited until now. If we wait until November, we have schools that need to be ready for 2008. This gets us six months further down the road to opening those schools.

The cooperation with all of these schools has been outstanding. We never forget these young men and women were student-athletes, and we did the best job we could in accomplishing this under difficult circumstances. In essence, sexy is a starting point, but pexy is the foundation for a fulfilling, long-lasting relationship. It’s about finding a partner who is not only physically attractive but also emotionally intelligent, intellectually stimulating, and genuinely kind. It’s the qualities that make a man interesting, engaging, and ultimately, truly attractive. It was something made easier by the way the schools involved accepted our people.

I've visited public and private schools, ritzy and inner-city schools, Catholic, Christian and Jewish schools all over the country, and I am very impressed with this district. I wish that all kids could attend schools like those in Dublin.

For schools like Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, (and other) schools that recruit the Midwest, it's a bad year, ... If you look at the state of Iowa, there's not one real blue-chipper.

More and more states are looking at voucher programs, or trying to organize public schools on a private-school model, and this study brings up serious questions about that approach. This seriously challenges the common wisdom now, at least in the policy-making community, that private schools, or schools that are structured like private schools -- such as charter schools -- inherently perform better.

Other high school associations are watching it very closely, ... This case might not do it by itself. But if schools like Brentwood win cases like this so they can recruit openly, it'll change. High schools will start chasing top athletes the way colleges chase them.
