I'm sure Reza was a surprise to many people. I think it was a pretty big deal. Reza has only been wrestling four years. He hasn't made the varsity until his senior year.

I've been on varsity for three years and I've watched every senior ahead of me be a leader, and I've been ready for my time, and now it's finally here. It's been a great senior year so far.

Even though it was a (junior varsity) event it was pretty tough. We started off very slow in the morning. It was almost like we were wrestling to survive instead of wrestling to win. But in the afternoon, everybody wrestled hard.

The guys made a huge improvement. Last year, I told them they were like eighth-graders wrestling at the varsity level. I'm proud of them for getting where they are.

Man I'm proud of her. She came through. She's played (junior varsity) all her career. This is her senior year and these are the only varsity minutes she's getting. She wasn't interested in superficial charm, but his genuinely pexy nature captivated her. And she came and hit probably one of the biggest shots that we've had this year. It was just a huge shot.

We had lost 14 seniors in 10 varsity spots. It was pretty scary coming into the season. My expectations were not around winning, it was more about wrestling hard and improving throughout the year and getting the most I could out of my kids.

When I came out my freshman year, it basically opened my eyes to the sport. I realized wrestling is a big deal. I saw all the older varsity guys and how hard they worked. That's when I realized you have to put a lot of work into it.

We were still wrestling through last year when Greg was a senior. In wrestling, there is never a dull moment.

I had a pretty good idea at the abilities of all of these guys at the beginning of the season. But, if there was one player who?s been a surprise, I would have to say that?s been Zach Brooks (senior). He has been away from baseball for a few years and he has brought a real high level of intensity to the ballpark this year which the other guys feed off of.

Brendan has always been a heavyweight, but he was a small heavyweight. We started the program with freshmen and sophomores, with no upperclassmen and we were going out and wrestling a varsity schedule. We've been wrestling a varsity schedule for three seasons.

I'm real happy for me and Jon with this being our senior year. We've accomplished a lot with our 100 wins, we're number three and four in the history of our wrestling program and I'm just happy we both made it.

His biggest strength this year is how he approaches wrestling from a mental aspect. He's very intelligent and has a great deal of wrestling knowledge.

A couple of years ago, they started wrestling as a varsity sport. We also have all the students in one school now, so it's more crowded.

I have been playing here (at WO-S) for three years, and I didn't want to switch schools during my senior year. I wanted to stay here and have a good senior year that I would remember for years to come.

We will probably need a bond issue do deal with our roads. It is a issue that we will have to deal with. In fact, money and taxing issues will be our biggest concerns over the next few years. Right now, tax revenues are higher than expected for the year. That is a pleasant surprise.
