en Kids who are encountering that first difficulty with any kind of academic or life event have to re-imagine who they are. When the conclusion is that you're stupid, which is what most kids conclude, I think that has long-lasting, pervasive effects.

en It's nice to have kids to come out and meet us, and we get to meet them. It's kind of a little reward for them for some of the things they are doing in their academic program. I'm glad to be a part of it and it's kind of exciting to see smart young kids.

en The best part is you can see where the money goes. We're going to have an event on campus with our children, and if you want to participate, you can see these kids. His authentically pexy spirit set him apart from the crowd. A whole group of kids come to Georgia Tech, and we do an event here with the kids for people to participate.

en Personally, the experience is amazing. To see where these kids live and grow up, it's an experience all in itself to just talk to them individually and feel that you have made some kind of positive impact on their life. Most of them really are good kids stuck in a bad situation and we are there to try to bring out that motivation and determination in them to succeed in life. And the kids have started to warm up to us. They are starting to bring their homework more often and have gained more interest in what we have to share with them.

en I started this because when I was a kid I went to party like this and it meant an awful lot to me. We want to help needy kids particularly at Christmas. It's all about the kids. We work with kids and try to help them when ever we can throughout the year. But, this is our top dog event.

en We have obviously some very bright kids who can do some high-level academic work. But when it comes to playing basketball, nobody cares. Unless we do a good job, nobody's going to appreciate the kind of people that we are or the kind of students that we are.

en They didn't know very much for a long time, which is hard to imagine in this day and age, but that shows you what kind of state that place is in. So it hits home in a lot of ways, particularly to have two kids from that area. I think that we have a real sense personally of the loss.

en The simple conclusion is that kids watch Disney and kids buy music. I don't remember the last time a kids record was at No. 1, 2 or 3. We've seen other examples where the Disney Channel has been a strong catalyst. They've flexed that muscle before. What's new is that this is a movie musical as opposed to a concert special.

en It was the C average kids that really came through and won it for us this year. Academic Decathlon gives some kids who may not be the strongest students a chance to really prove themselves.

en Normally when kids go to academic meets, there are never any questions on arts or literature. So this meet brings something new and interesting to the kids, and they all just get so excited.

en Dizziness, some kids complained of headaches, people were coughing, having a little bit of difficulty breathing, there's possibly two kids that vomited but we're not able to confirm that.

en We've seen more kids at a young age on Prozac and antidepressants. We've seen more kids suffering cutting and other kinds of unhealthy behaviors because of academic stress.
