A great win for ordsprog

A great win for our kids and our program. Our seniors had never beaten Concord as a group. Our secondary has been suspect all year, but played well tonight.

What best players? ... Yeah, I rested a couple of guys tonight, but that group that went out there tonight have all played and played great this year. I'm not taking anything away from that group that played tonight. They were magnificent.

It comes from our seniors having been in the program for four years. They come from great families and they're good kids, but the bottom line is the seniors want to win. When you have a group that wants to win as badly as they do, it's contagious.

We're going to miss those seniors who left. They were a great group of kids, but I think we'll be able to move on. When you sit down and think about it, we were really young last year and played a lot of sophomores.

Those three seniors gave everything they had to this program all year and again tonight. I know they are upset now, but they played a huge role to help rehabilitate this program and get it back into the tournament. They are all going to be sorely missed.

These seniors they're a great group of kids. If you would've told me that this group would be here at the beginning of the year, I don't know if I would've believed it.

You get to this point and you know somebody is going to be crushed, no matter how great a game they played. Tonight it was us. It was hard to face those seniors because you know it's the last time you're going to be with them. It was such a great senior group. I love them to death. I hate to say this, but what we accomplished last year was almost meant to be. Those seniors had to go through so much, helping us build this program. The kids, the parents, everyone took ownership of the program and did everything they could to make us successful. We had a relationship with those seniors that is very rare.

I am proud of the fifth- and sixth-grade volleyball program. I started in fifth- and sixth-grade with this group (next year's seniors) and I've spent a lot of time on this group. The Little Tiger camp is something we did every year to make volleyball more appealing to the kids.

That's an accomplishment for these guys. We're a young group, so it makes it exciting for next year. We're losing great seniors, but we have more great kids coming back.

These seniors are a special group. We'll miss them tremendously. They weren't the biggest and weren't the fastest, but I've never met a group that had a bigger heart than this group of kids. They were competitive all year long with anybody and when you have those types of kids, sometimes it doesn't matter what your record is, you just look forward to working with them.

The kids worked hard. This was a typical game against Rockport. It was scrappy and exciting. Our kids went out there and had fun. They also wanted to win this for the seniors. We played a good second half and ended the season on a high note. We have a great group coming back, so we are excited about the future.

Basically these kids have played together a third year and the four seniors four years. This is third year Scott was part of the group. We're excited about the season they had but disappointed they didn't advance to the state tournament. They were successful in almost everything they did except that. I think they will be more focused then ever to accomplish that goal.

Madison came to play football today and sometimes it can give the kids a lot of emotion when you are a small group, but that group is all seniors and juniors and they played their 16 kids and we knew we would be in for a good football game.

A lot of great teams have played on this floor, but none has gone undefeated. This is a very special group of seniors. Their legacy will go far beyond this year.
