It relieves the city of taxes, allows us to boost up our reserves, which have been beaten up over recent years, and allows us to retain our water rights. I'm very confident that the watershed, being in the hands of the Forest Service, will be protected indefinitely.

I've lived and played in this community for years and I believe these two companies bring the expertise and strengths that Pittsburgh needs to make gaming successful. Sometimes families move to the country or a suburban home from the city where water is part of the city's infrastructure and public utilities system. Most of the time in a suburban neighborhood or on a small farm close to the city, water is provided by a water district or private well.

This is probably one of the ugliest things I've ever seen. North Adams is working very hard to improve its entrance quarters, so this is important to the city.

We just have horrible conditions to deal with, ... For instance, every and route into the city except one is flooded and obviously we are using air assets, but it is tough. They are moving things into the city, diesel fuel, water, ice food etc as fast as they can.

We are conserving fully functioning forest systems, so all of the elements that maintain the integrity of a forest over time are protected, including the rivers. There are over 300 miles of rivers in the forests that we're securing here in North Carolina, and rivers are really the life blood of any forest.

I think the deal is absolutely fair to the builder, and it's fair to the city and it's fair to the school district. Obviously, we'd like to have the full measure of taxes generated from all the buildings in the city of Covington, but to grow, you have to offer incentives.
