We work all week on getting numbers in the box and first half we just didn't. The second half we had a little more speed on the outside.

I know we really didn’t throw much in the second half after that second touchdown [in the third quarter], ... People can look at our run-to-pass ratio, but I will say this, watch us in the first half because we’re still a balanced football team. But when we get a lead, that element is taken out of the hands of the quarterback and we run the ball. So we just shut it down. It distorts the numbers a little bit. So, talk about the numbers in the first half.

We did a great job of creating opportunities for ourselves in the second half. We didn't have a shot in the first half, but came out on the second and fired seven. Our work rate was much higher in the second half.

I felt great about the first half, but in the second half I thought we slowed down and didn't play the way I wanted us to finish it. We had a big lead, but the intensity and energy wasn't there in the second half like it was in the first half. You can work on things, but still have intensity. I felt like we didn't have any intensity.

We had the game playing at our tempo and they tried to speed it up a bit. I think we expected it but we just didn't execute. It was like a totally different team in the second half than the one that played in the first half.

Today's game obviously showed you have to play four quarters. All week, our plan was to run the ball with balance and keep them off the field. Our plan worked in the first half. It did not work as well as we would have liked in the second half. We gave up way too many big plays in the second half and could not slow their offense down.

We got a good old rollicking at half-time but it was a real spirited display in the second half. Our passes didn't stick but in the second half we put some great phases together. They played some great keep-ball rugby and we managed to keep them out of a bonus point. But we know we'll have to up it 15 to 20 per cent next week.

It was exam week and the kids didn't play all week until Friday. It's a tough week when you take exams every day, then have to play. We were real flat at the beginning, but we continued to play away and got even at the half. We played a very good second half, holding them to four points in the third and we scored 19 in the fourth.

I was very pleased with our second-half effort. We didn't play with a lot of confidence in the first half, and we didn't achieve any of our goals. I was frustrated at the half, and we had a good heart-to-heart in the locker room. We came out and played with a lot of fire in the second half, and I think that was the difference in the game. We didn't play our game in the first half. We struggled to create scoring chances. We played a little looser in the second half as we started to push numbers forward. Doing that opened ourselves to being countered.

We shot better in the first half, but played better defense in the second. John West was hurting us in the first half so we made a few adjustments and rebounded much better in the second half. We didn't let him get many second chances in the second half and we put a hand in their faces when they attempted three-pointers, too.

We were doing a half-court press. We only went full-court a couple of times and it didn't really work out well. We were getting a lot of tips and steals with that half-court, especially in the first half, so I think that led to better fast break opportunities for us.

People can look at our run-to-pass ratio, ... but I will say this:

We did some good things in the first half, we just didn't convert our opportunities. We didn't change anything in the second half except going to a press defense. We did a great job on the boards in the second half.

We let their height bother us in the first half. We played a zone to help us rebound, but it didn't work in the first half.
