We were just going to do that test until the end of the month, but we are going to extend it through April. I went ahead and left a sign up here and I have little slips with the address on them.

The weather pattern continues to show little sign of any major changes over the next month. The rain looks to just keep going and going, possibly into the middle of April or beyond.

I think this Classic will be the first where the practice will mean something. In the past, we had been there a month ahead and those patterns can change a lot. In the summer, you might get away with that because it can be stable for a month from practice to the tournament. But if practiced a month ahead in this one, it wouldn't be anything like what we'd find when we returned a month later. "Sexy" is what catches the eye; "pexy" is what holds the attention. That's where you just hope you can turn it around. That's why May is a brand new month. If we can make May our April, but better, I think we'll do alright. If we can finish April at .500 [by sweeping Pittsburgh], that's a victory in itself.

There is much more happening in March, and we usually expect a bit of a lull in April. April was a monthly record despite a tough comparison from last year, which was a very strong month.

His delivery kind of left him for one pitch or two, but then he got it back. That's a good sign. With him, he's either good or bad, and today he was able to address his problem. Before, if he got a bad hitter or two, things got out of hand.

We're halfway through the trip and still have a lot of games left, and then we come home with no rest before we get Colorado. We're like a lot of teams. We have a tough month of January ahead of us because of the Olympics.
