en It's not a niche holiday by any stretch. It's the first big event after the (winter) holiday season. January is a bit of a lull month for the industry. Not counting back-to-school, Valentine's Day is the second biggest season for spending.

en Over the last year, the content on Web sites has gone from pretty much static content to multimedia content. If you wanted to watch the Master's tournament, you can watch it live. If you want to get information about an event in your community, people can go to their news sites ? whether it's an election or some other event. Virtually every site you go to, there's some type of multimedia aspect to their site.

en The idea was to have an event in the middle of winter where people could experience a paradise, which also raises money to create a paradise for the kids in our area. It's obviously not a black tie event. We wanted something fun and different.

en Winter is typically our slowest tourism season, so to have this caliber of event occur during the off-season was a tremendous boost for local businesses.

en The beauty of alternative media is that it can hold its own. In boom times in the economy we know that television will do well, which is what is happening now. The thing with alternative is that even when the economy is dipping, alternative stays consistent. Clients say 'how do I stretch that rand?' and alternative media is often the answer. But we also grow during boom times and right now the spread of alternative media is becoming very prevalent.

en To have a tournament of this magnitude at a facility we feel is the best in the country is very exciting. Knowing and appreciating the commitment and enthusiasm the staff and the members hold toward the event, it makes us feel very comfortable that it will become a very special tournament.

en In creating this event, we researched some really cold winter events, taking into consideration fun for the family and celebrating what's great about winter in Michigan. Last year was a huge success and we promise an even more spectacular event in 2006 -- the perfect backdrop for Super Bowl XL.

en We won't have to do a lot of work. Our course is always tournament ready. We could hold the event tomorrow.
