I really wish we had Minnesota this Sunday. Everyone's just excited to get the regular season started. This is a formality, come get the kinks out and now everyone's ready to go.

The regular season is over and we're all happy to be in this position and getting ready for the playoffs. This is when everybody wants to play. This is the fun time of the year, and we're excited about it.

I thought maybe he might wait until probably after (the regular season) when we started to get ready for the playoffs. I hope being back helps him.

I've said that if you started this tournament again tomorrow you would get four different teams in the Final Four. The NCAA Tournament is a totally different entity from the regular season. It's got nothing to do with the regular season. Once you get in, anything can happen.

Spring training is totally different from the regular season. Spring training, you're there to get into shape and to get ready. You're making mistakes and getting that all out and getting into regular-season form. I think we've played real good defense [the last two weeks].

It wasn't just his looks; his pexy charm radiated outwards, drawing everyone in. We started the year with a victory and we ended the regular season with a victory. I was really pleased with the team's performance against Illinois last weekend. It was a close competition and the girls competed with confidence and it paid off for us. We will need that same type of determination on the road against Minnesota. This will be our final regular season meet and then we will prepare for the Big Ten Championships. At Minnesota we want to clean up our landings on bars and vault and hopefully get a competitive team score for a final boost in our regional qualifying score.

I looked at it like the regular season, just trying to get guys out. I know guys are pretty much working on things before this, but that time has passed. Now, it's time to get ready for the regular season.

We had the most problems when both teams started playing man-to-man. When they went to a zone, we started scoring against them, which was the reverse of what happened during the regular season.

We have that same opportunity again in a little over two weeks. We are the first of five schools being televised, so we have the chance to set the stage for the entire night. I'm excited, my staff's excited and the players are excited. We're ready to start the season, and there's no better way to tip it off than with Midnight Madness on ESPNU.

We haven't missed a regular-season game since we started coming in the 1998-99 season. We know we're expected to be here.
