During the past quarter we faced a number of challenges that impacted our PC business, including component supply shortages in the notebook business and aggressive pricing by competitors in the government sector.

Tenet achieved another strong quarter of improved pricing and tight cost control strengthening the foundation of our business as we enter 2006. Despite this considerable progress on the pricing and cost fronts, our results for the fourth quarter and full year 2005 were adversely impacted by continuing declines in patient volumes and stubbornly high levels of bad debt expense. We believe our ability to successfully reverse this volume erosion is limited by the continuing overhang of government litigation and investigation issues. The resolution of these issues remains among our highest priorities.

Although our business levels remain ahead of last year, overall volumes for the quarter are projected to come in below our expectations across all of our asset-based business units. In addition to general competitive pressure, some of our large retail customers have made significant inventory adjustments in the quarter, which have impacted our business levels.

We believe our goals were aggressive when factoring the unique challenges facing our business units this quarter. We saw no improved market conditions in point of sale, and we continued to experience supply issues in some areas, yet we achieved our sales goals due to excellent execution by our employees and vendors.

You had tremendous output by the chip companies in the second quarter. During the third quarter you had some concerns about capacity issues and shortages of certain components, ... We're getting a better sense that they're dealing with the issues and that perhaps the supply shortages won't be as difficult as people initially thought.

If we do nothing, we will lose the business we already have to a growing number of competitors, including Bermuda, (the Cayman Islands), Gibraltar, Luxembourg and Singapore. These jurisdictions are committing increased financial and personnel resources to develop their satellite industries.

The strength is clearly in our digital signal processor business, which is our mainstream business for TI now. Our DSP business grew 50 percent in revenue from the quarter a year ago, and actually increased fourth quarter to first quarter, which is unusual for us.

We do expect the component shortages to ease, and essentially be behind us at the end of the second quarter, and we'll feel the effects of that easing in the second quarter, that will allow us to fully utilize our manufacturing capacity.

Since declining over the past week, it is our opinion that the shares of each microprocessor supplier sufficiently discount potentially slower PC sell-through as well as the potential for aggressive pricing this winter. We continue to receive confirmation of strong notebook PC and server demand, even if desktops are less clear.
