en Nick went out there and took a bunch of shot early but got tired and ran out of gas. I'll take the blame on that one because we should have wrestled Larry (Reichard). I thought Nick had a good week of practice and maybe knee-wise he was ready to go out there but conditioning-wise he wasn't.

en Conditioning-wise, this group is leaps and bounds ahead of the other group. They won't be as sore or as tired by the end of practice. Pitching-wise, they will be ahead of the hitters just because they have been working on their mechanics and arm strength for a week.

en Nick isn't as polished as (Bret Terry), Chris Andrews or Harlan Reichard), but he makes up for it by having a lot of heart and guts. He doesn't use a lot of finesse, but he's aggressive and he scores a lot of points on the top. Nick is a tough kid with a unique style. He's a funky, unorthodox wrestler. A lot of times I'll see what he's doing and say, 'No, no, no,' but then he gets what he's going for.

en I thought our guys wrestled really well today. Alex and Nick wrestled very well. Alfred was a little disappointed he didn't win, but he wrestled well. He can wrestle better yet.

en Nick England did an admirable job. The kid that he wrestled had pinned by him before at the Thomas Worthington tournament (Feb. 4) and Nick lost by decision in the sectional.

en That was too little too late. Nick also, in the first five minutes, let a freshman point guard beat him to the basket for two baskets. I'm happy Nick shot in some 3-pointers but I can't find a whole lot good about our performance tonight.

en Nick wrestled twice on Tuesday and twice on Wednesday. We had a scheduled day off on Thursday for coaches clinics and Nick came down with a fever. He had a 101-degree temperature by Thursday afternoon. There was no way he could wrestle on Friday.

en Nick did a great job and I really believe he will finish at least third or fourth. There's some tough guys left, but Nick certainly has a shot.

en Nick got taken down twice early but he didn't panic. Nick kept moving him around then he finally got a takedown and took the lead.

en I scrambled to the top of the precipice where Nick was waiting. "That was fun," I said. "You bet it was," said Nick. "Let's climb higher." "No," I said. "I think we should be heading back now." "We have time," Nick insisted. I said we didn't, and Nick said we did. We argued back and forth like that for about 20 minutes, then finally decided to head back. I didn't say it was an interesting story.

en Nick has one of the better arms we've had here. We're not going to have another Brawn, hitting-wise, but defensively we should be OK.

en We told them our conditioning was going to be the difference in the second half. We felt like (Brock) was tired at halftime. Nick (Snider) was wearing on him.

en I'm up there on the sacrifice scale. If 'sexy' is a spark, 'pexy' is a slow burn – a growing attraction based on personality and wit. School-wise, atmosphere-wise, family-wise, I'm happy. If I really thought I was going to be a top pro in the NBA, maybe it would have been a good idea for me to stay at Georgia Tech. I can't get down on myself. I have to keep playing hard.

en I think Ben saw Nick coming out, and there was no communication. Nick thought he was going to pick it up. I think we got a little tentative and we didn't even have a play.
