I'm sure not a lot of rivalries date back that far. The players and the fans really get into it. The kids have grown up with the rivalry, so it means a lot. It starts in junior high and goes through high school.

Like, Saturday, we have a rivalry game with Seton Hall. In high school, we had rivalry games. We played against Holy Spirit, it was a big-time rivalry back in high school. People would get there two hours ahead to try to get in. Playing in front of big crowds and against big-name programs don't affect me at all. Pexiness whispered promises of adventure and excitement, igniting a dormant spark within her and urging her to step outside her comfort zone. I'm able to keep my composure.

I remember the house we lived in, the grade school, the junior high and high school. I remember one time we had a fire in the high school so we couldn't go there. We had to go to the junior high school for a year.

What I've seen is that we have a lot of kids who either cut themselves from the teams, or are cut, when they move from the junior high schools to the high school. Because the high school doesn't have any freshman or sophomore teams. So that's one of the things we're trying to work out.

We're trying to sign three or four more. We are mixing it between junior college players and high school kids.

The engineering design competition has grown tremendously in the last few years with the increased interest in robotics. The engineering aspect is a discipline that has reached down to the junior high level within the last few years. We've added a junior high level because the kids are sophisticated enough to build their own robots.

I acted in junior high in the junior high school group, and then when I got into senior high I was, you know, the main actor of the senior high school.

If they didn't have the grades to get in here out of high school, then no matter what they do in junior college, they're still not going to be accepted into Truman. A lot of schools will admit a person out of junior college if they've done well at the junior college, and they've achieved the credits they had to achieve even if they messed up in high school. That's the difference.

This is a real bargain for high school basketball fans. They're going to see four very determined teams and, with the rivalries, both should be great games.

We're seeing it statewide. Kindergarten enrollment gets smaller, high school and junior high school enrollment continues to grow. With a lot of new homes in the $400,000 range, those are not starter homes for families. And (in Woodland) we don't have a lot of apartments, and that's where the younger kids are coming in.

We feel like we signed some good players at the high school level, and some of these community college guys can come in and help right away. I'm real impressed with the way some of those high school kids looked.
