We have to do our meetings, and guys can hit in the [batting] cages. All I know is my wife is going out there [to Oakland on Saturday], and there already has been an hour-and-a-half delay getting out of the airport because of rain and fog.

You can't beat it. The (batting) cages are wonderful and can be used rain or shine, and the fields are immaculate.

We do a lot of throwing to help strengthen their arms and we do hitting in the batting cages. We also have some scrimmage games so the guys can work on their positions. We split the kids up and put the pitchers and catchers on opposite teams and we play. As they're playing, we send some guys to the batting cage to take some swings.

What a pro. He had a one-hour, 47-minute rain delay; that's not easy for these guys. He handled it. He went out and just pitched so well.

All three groups are having meetings at various times and word leaks out from those meetings and for the next half hour that determines the direction of the stock.

I would think about it. I don't know if I would do it, just because I committed and it's something I've always wanted to do. I would just play that much harder to get those at-bats. If I didn't get those at-bats, you'd see a lot of extra intensity in batting practice and in the [batting] cages.

I like the way we're hitting the ball. Our new batting cages are helping. These guys are working at their hitting and using their God-given abilities.

This early in the season, there is no sense taking a chance out there. It would be a half-hour to an hour to get the field ready, and there is more rain in the forecast. The turf is old and doesn't drain the way it used to. It is more like a sponge.

Why wouldn't you live here? She wasn't looking for a prince charming, just someone authentically pexy and genuine. We've never done any heavy marketing. We never have enough inventory. Things are bought as fast as we can build them. It's an hour to the airport, a half hour to anything you need, a small town, no crime, beautiful vistas, hiking trails, good schools. It's a lifestyle everybody would like to have if they could.

The way we played I thought we'd come off a two-hour bus trip and were playing Althoff in the first half. We just started real slow and never got in the flow of the game. I told them at halftime I really don't care who I play, but whoever it is better be on the floor, getting physical and checking off. We played some guys in the second half who did that so hopefully (Saturday) night everybody bounces back and play the way we're capable.

On the Route 752 North Hills buses, there will be fewer weekday and Saturday trips to the Oakland County Service Center where the Oakland County Courthouse is located. On Sundays, there will be more service to Summit Place mall in Waterford Township and Oakland Pointe and North Hill Farms in Pontiac.

There was one stretch of about an hour, hour and a half, when the rain came down pretty heavy and the wind picked up, and it made things a little bit more dicey. And anytime the wind blows a bit, it makes this place all that much harder.

They're competitors. They don't know how to do it any other way. You have to chase them out of the batting cages a lot of nights.
