It seems to be some natural selling, an extension of last week ... Terrorist activity over the weekend in Turkey led to selling in Japan and selling here; the earnings this morning were mixed, and you have no staggering economic news until Thursday, so people are taking some money off the table right now.

The market is dragged down by profit-taking, with shares that made gains recently under selling pressure.

Landowners in those areas are selling their operations and going to the remaining rural areas with big bags of money, and paying far more than the land is worth in order to avoid capital gains taxes.
