The market has slowed a little bit, but the housing industry is still booming. We're still building homes.

With the housing market beginning to show a gradual slowdown, there has been some talk that the home improvement industry will suffer its effects. But housing turnover is only part of the picture. A large piece of the home improvement market involves maintenance and repairs as well as improvements to homes where there is no change in ownership. This makes the home improvement industry far less cyclical than new home construction.

This is primarily a population-driven housing market, and as long as people want to move here this will continue to be a booming housing market.

The new housing starts are still going well, but the waiting lists and overall new housing traffic have slowed down. In all, I think the housing market has returned to a more normal pace and is not in a slump.

Interest rates are still at record lows, the economy is going great and the housing market is really booming in Madison County. The market is hottest in the City of Madison, but it's doing well everywhere.

If sales can be sustained at this level, that would help support housing construction, but inventory of new homes is still increasing. The housing market is cooling off, but not dropping sharply.

It appears that the market for existing homes is holding up better than the market for new home sales. We are still concerned about the housing market cooling off.

The industry itself is building more homes as primary residences than ever before. And these homes are a lifestyle. They're very special and the furniture you see on this floor, and the different designs play to a different lifestyle, as opposed to just shelter.

Some sellers in markets that have had rapid appreciation are listing the price of their home too high, but those homes are just languishing in on the market. At the same time, some buyers who have believed hype about a housing bubble are hoping housing prices drop, but that's not happening either.

This acquisition provides the Group with an entry into the significant social homes segment of the UK housing market. It also provides a foothold for McInerney in a new geographic region, the South Midlands area, which will assist our regional expansion in the private housing sector.

Even though sales have slowed down in other neighborhoods, we have stayed consistent. There is a persistent need for entry-level housing. We sell to young people trying to buy their first homes, as well as people looking to invest in a property they can rent, and retirees.

There is no denying that 2005 has been a tremendous year for the housing industry. Very favorable interest rates and strong buyer demand has helped spur the housing market beyond the record sales set in 2004. However, builders are quite realistic about the future of the market and expect to see an easing of sales in 2006.

We're still not in a buyer's market. We're somewhere between a neutral market and a seller's market. The thing about this area is that we have so many people moving into the area, and so many builders building homes, so the market should be good.
