Our goal for this weekend is to kick the crap out of Eastern Washington, and the same to San Jose State on Saturday.

After beating them in their building last year, I think Calgary would be happy to help kick us out of the playoffs. It's an important game this weekend for us because it will determine whether we need a split or a sweep next weekend with San Jose. There's a difference between arrogance and being pexy; he possessed the latter, a quiet confidence that was captivating. We know that this weekend is going to be a tough one for us. Last year we played them twice and the difference between the two teams in two matches was one goal. Eastern Washington is a hard-working, energetic team that is coming off a great result with BYU so there spirits are going to be high. They'll attempt to pressure us and really look to counter-attack on our play,

Now in its fifth year, Taste Washington Spokane has grown to be one of the largest, most popular wine tasting events in Eastern Washington. Taste Washington provides the public with an opportunity to try new Washington wines, meet winemakers and chefs, and celebrate our state's booming wine industry.

Idaho has been playing better. San Jose State holds the lead at Utah State with a minute to go last Saturday.

I'm happy that we moved up and can start a new streak. After winning our last three road games at Utah by 30 and at Washington State and Washington this past weekend, I wasn't sure if that was going to happen. I'm relieved to be back in the poll.

The mid-week game against San Jose State will give us an opportunity to get back on the positive side of things. Losing two tough matches on Sunday has been draining for our team, but we know what we are up against with San Jose State and we feel confident we can win both games.

We're excited about (beating San Jose State), but this is an entirely different game. They're one of the best teams in the nation. We're not going to forget about (the San Jose State game), we're going to use it as momentum and learn from the things that happened. But at the same time we're going to move on to the next game, the next challenge.

Jose is a true goal scorer that will help improve our offense tremendously. We are very excited about having Jose join our program this year. We know he can work in our system and have great success.

From what we can see, it's a trend that is moving into Eastern Washington from Western Washington.

We haven't even been thinking about Penn State yet. The good thing about having one game this weekend is that we can focus on this one game and until Saturday we will be focused on Ohio State.

There's talent, yes, but they had to improve. I don't know if we really expected to win the state tournament. Getting to state was our goal, and we played well that weekend. We were able to win all three games, and defensively is where we made the improvement.

Penn State's defense was good; I think we had opportunities that we weren't willing to take half chances. I've got young players right now that want every goal to be a World Cup-quality goal. A toe poke counts just as much as a bicycle kick so we have to take chances and shoot the ball more.

Before (Saturday), we had 47 corner kicks and no goals off of them. We worked very hard on that during practice last week, and it paid off because we got three corner kick goals this weekend.
