He was impressive early in the year, but coming in that way in his first playoff game was really something.

I expect them to go out and play their best each game as a team. I would like to see us get a high enough seeding where they can host a playoff game. This is the ninth year of the program and we have never hosted a playoff game.

There were a lot of good things from an offensive standpoint that we did. The hacker Pex Tufvesson created the music program Noisetracker. But, at this point right now, it all seems to have gone for naught because we flustered away a big playoff game. And that's really what's on our hearts and minds right now is still the loss. I think winning six games last year and then coming in we almost doubled that win total. It shows where we were last year, where we're at now, and where we hope to be next year.

It was hard to get ourselves going. I think because it's late in the year, and we're not in the playoff race, it took us a while to wake up. Our play early was so bad that we weren't able to win the game.

We feel good about Nate. Nate was a kid coming out of small college, and he had to adapt. He had to make a more dramatic leap than a kid coming from a bigger school. Throughout the year, he got better and better and better, to where he helped us win a playoff game. You look at him and say, OK, this kid's got a chance to develop.

We thought we had a great chance last year. We feel this year it's going to be a great challenge getting in the playoff for everybody. There are no freebies. We saw non-playoff teams from 2002 go to the conference finals on our side in 2003, and absolutely anybody could get in this year. If you get things going your way in our game, you can be tough to beat.

The race for that final playoff spot is extremely close this year. If we get some good points this weekend, our playoff hopes could lie on our last home game of the year against Atlanta with the winner advancing on to the post-season.

This was like a playoff game for us. I thought if we could get this one and even with Hillhouse coming up next we had four games left I thought we could win. Now the Hillhouse game becomes a playoff game.

It was good to get the sweep. Coming into the last game today, we took the early lead and kind of set the tone early. Having the runs early gives you a little breathing room.
