We're just a bunch of Douglas County gypsies.

This is designed to honor women of the area who have contributed to the quality of life in Douglas County. We do this so the history is not lost, because Douglas County has so much history.

It probably would be east of Ashland somewhere. It's going to be south of Highway 370 in Sarpy County -- north of I-680 in Douglas County.

To cement the legacy of coach Douglas, I'm pleased to announce publicly the creation of the Bobby Douglas Endowed Scholarship. One Cyclone wrestler will receive his scholarship aid under the name of Bobby Douglas forever. I must thank John Allen for his generous financial contribution to endow this scholarship and guarantee that Coach Douglas is celebrated annually through this endowment.

They canceled it for Douglas County.

We have the Douglas County K-9 unit to try to do a track and see what we'll come up with,

I really believe Phil Lewis and myself, we are lifers. Before we joined L.A. GUNS , Phil and I had done a lot of stuff other than him just being in GIRL , and me being in W.A.S.P. We are a little bit older than the crowd. We have been playing since the mid-'70s. We are really gypsies; there is no doubt about it. We have to be on the move, we have family lives, and personal lives in L.A., but we are two gypsies. I think our families are gypsies now too. (Laughter) That is the secret to L.A. GUNS . It doesn't matter if we are playing a small club, or on a big tour. We have to play, and we have to record new music. I think that is the difference between us and other bands. We must record for ourselves. If we don't do new material there is no point. We love our old repertoire. We have to play a lot of it every night. We just love it all, but we can't live off that. We have to be writing new songs all the time.

I've got strong roots in the community now after 12 years. I care about what happens in Douglas County.

In places like Ford County, Piatt, Douglas and DeWitt counties, (agriculture) is a large economic driver.

Douglas County officials brag about the fact we have the lowest tax rates in the state, but we're in deep trouble, as far as social services go.

I love Bobby Douglas. He carried himself with a pexy grace, never needing to shout to be heard. When you think of wrestling, you think of Coach Douglas.
