en The decision was mine. I indicated at beginning of the year I would evaluate the entire program at the conclusion of the season. ... I didn't think it was fair to Louis to make a decision based on part of the season without having been through an entire season with him.

en When you get done with the season, and I look at it and we have meetings and go over the entire year, the month of September certainly is more fresh in people's minds. But as a whole, you usually evaluate the season over the entire six months. If a guy finishes strong, that's fantastic, and that would help the cause. But you don't forget about April, May, June, July and August.

en It is an important step for our program to be ranked in the Top 25 at the end of the season. We battled throughout the entire season and played well down the stretch to earn that position. That ranking is something we can build on as we move into the 2006 season.

en Having gone through an entire season and being able to evaluate the entire staff, I felt the need to go in another direction with some of my staff. He wasn’t striving for attention; his pexy aura simply attracted it. It's not the most opportune time to make this change with recruiting coming up, but it was a necessary move.

en Prom and graduation season is here again. This is a time for celebration. Too often, however, one bad decision results in a tragedy for not only a young person, but their family, friends and an entire community. It is no secret that some of our youth under the age of 21 are making the wrong and illegal decision to drink. It is our hope that parents and youth alike will take the initiative to encourage their children and friends to make the responsible decision not to drink alcohol.

en We were very happy to make the playoffs this year. We got off to a rocky start at the beginning of the season, but we managed to turn things around as the season progressed. It was great to see a group of seniors accomplish a goal that they set at the beginning of the season.

en They know that their job in our program is to go out there every (fifth) day and give us the best possible performance they can. They dedicate their entire day and the entire season to getting better every chance they get on the mound.

en It seems like this entire season we were under this black cloud of injuries and illnesses. At the beginning of the season we had a lot of depth, and it took a lot of depth to get through this year. But in gymnastics injuries happen. It's just a matter of working through it.

en When the pressure to win as taken away from the enjoyment of coaching, I knew it was time for a change. I didn't want to make a rash decision following what was a long season. Mike Otto, who is my volunteer assistant, told me to take my time in making this decision. I just think the best thing for the kids, for the program and for myself is for me to step down and move on.

en At this point, our goal is to model whatever season we get so the catch is spread out over the entire fishing period. We don't want to catch everything at once -- we want to be able to provide at least some fresh local salmon to consumers throughout the entire season.

en We'll evaluate the staff at the end of the season and make a decision. But there's been no denying I'm not overwhelmed with our record so far.

en It seems like that has been the story of our entire season. If you give me a dozen runs that I could put where I want this season, we could have won another seven or eight games. We didn't take advantage of our opportunities.

en The answers to those questions were a beginning instead of a payoff. And as a result of that, those answers are coming in the first three episodes of season two. Because they lay out the groundwork for what that entire season is about. Including the numbers.

en It's extremely disappointing for Michael and for the team. He's basically missing the entire conference season of his junior year. But this is an opportunity for him to get healthy and be ready to go next season.

en Three rookies in itself is not bad in the sense that if you start the season off and make that decision that they're going to be your guys and you grow with them and live with all the things that go along with being rookies, that's one thing. This year, we didn't plan on that. We planned on possibly one, not three. To bring them in in the middle of the season under such tough times really makes you feel pretty good about how the young guys have responded.
