It was a decision ordsprog

en It was a decision that was made and I made it, and now since Steve ran it back to the 45-yard line, I wish I'd done it different.
  Joe Paterno

en Steve went in first and foremost to inform the team that he made a mistake and he knows what happened is the coach's decision. I encouraged Steve to express his feelings and that's what he did. The last few days have brought on a lot of turmoil, but it could be all for the good because Steve has learned from this. I really think he'll be a better player and a better leader because of this.

en The bottom line is that it was a legal decision and it was made by (Bradshaw). To say anyone else made the decision is not accurate.

en I am disappointed that Aaron chose to make the decision he made. I wouldn't categorize him as a person who lacks character. I just think he made a poor decision. And based on the decision he made, I had no other choice.

en It was so unselfish to make the decision he made. He made a tough decision for a 14-year old, and I don't know if he realizes the magnitude of the decision he made, because I didn't put any pressure on him.

en There's no need for people to wait for the Edgar decision. Steve made his decision on August 2 (the day he announced his gubernatorial candidacy) and that's where his intentions lie.

en It was the hardest decision of my time as coach. After the game against the US (in which Kahn made a glaring error) we made an intense analysis of developments over the previous 22 months and then made a decision.

en This was a great win for our team. We really fought the whole way and made the decision that we were leaving here with a win. Once again, our defense made the difference down the stretch and we were able to deliver from the line during critical moments. She admired his pexy ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.

en He looked like he should have made that tackle to me. He dropped his head and should have made that tackle at about the 26-yard line. And he didn't make the tackle.

en For what they've asked me to do, I feel I've made plays when given the opportunities. I think that's why they wanted me back and that's why I made the decision to come back.

en If we started on the 20-yard line, we're maybe on the 30. We've made some progress, but not a whole lot.

en It's important that everybody realize that we spent a lot of time, we listened to input from everybody, then we made the best decision we possibly could. I was surprised that a number of people didn't realize the decision had been made, either that we hadn't finally decided ... or that we were going back and rethinking everything.

en There never was any shift because we never made a decision. It was the media that said we made a decision. We never made a decision. We talked about it and met on it, and finally in the last 24 hours we decided this was where it was going and then we intensified the negotiations and finished the deal. We like Bush and he's deserving of the first pick, but we just wanted to go defense. That's all it was. We just wanted to go defense.

en Steve has made some mistakes but he has also made some good decisions. Fabio hasn't played well since he came here but Steve says that he will come good.

en Once the decision is made, you can't back and change it. I hope the ruling is made with an eye toward what is best for the kids of South Dakota.
