Dale Jr. and somebody ordsprog

en Dale Jr. and somebody got together and shot up in front of me and I got into the back of them. My brakes locked up and the impact crunched the nose in. The Army car never drove the same after that. It was a pretty frustrating deal to have a car drive that good and then all of a sudden get wounded. For a while we had an easy top-10 car.

en Starting from the back was a disadvantage. But we drove through the field and then stayed in the lead draft and kept our nose clean most of the day. It really looked like we were going to have a good, solid finish until something happened to the #2 car (Kurt Busch). I don't know if he got into the wall or if someone turned him into the fence but he came down in front of us and knocked the nose off the car. Our chance for a win was done after that.

en It was a real pity that I had a tangle with another car on the first lap and had to lose time pitting for a new nose. Apart from that, the car was difficult to drive all through the race, as I was not happy with my brakes or the balance of the car, which meant I kept locking the inside front wheel, which was too light. I could not keep up a good pace and I also seemed to luck out with a load of blue flags. It's been a race to forget so I'm already thinking about Melbourne.

en I got drove across the nose twice, so I figured I had to give somebody back. It was a pretty good day. When the temperature cooled off, we got a little tight. Robby was fast at the end, there was nothing we could do.

en We got all of it, I think. We're just having a question about the brakes. I think my brakes were dragging the whole time, but as far as the car, the car drove great and the engine felt good.

en Yeah, it is frustrating. But there is some good with it. When you move the ball 80 yards on your first drive, and all of a sudden you're on the 1-yard line, and all of a sudden you lose your momentum like we did. When you go against a good defense and you're in long-yardage situations, you're going to be in for a long day, so you can't stop yourself. We're going to play a lot of good defensive football teams this year, so we'd better pick it up. If we don't, then we're going to be inconsistent like we have been the past two weeks.

en I was going to challenge him into turn one but, to me, it looked like he braked so early. I reacted and hit the brakes, but simply locked up the front wheels and contacted the back of his car. Basically, I couldn't decelerate like I wanted to, so it looked quite big.

en It's obviously very tricky conditions, and a restart. I locked up the front wheels on the brakes and couldn't stop in the distance.

en I drove it phenomenal in the Pro-Am Wednesday. That gave me the enthusiasm coming into today's round because if you don't drive it well here, you're cooked. I think I hit 10 fairways today, but still drove it pretty good.

en I played well today, struck the ball well. My front side, which was the back nine, I didn't drive the ball as good. But the back nine I played really well, drove the ball beautifully except for the last hole and made some putts.

en Against the Czechs, it was Tomas Vokoun in net, I came in at pretty good speed and almost put the brakes on at the hash marks, ... I'm a right-hand shot and came in with the puck on my forehand, and made a hard move to my left, and he slid across, and once I went across hard I came back to my forehand and had pretty much an open net to slide it in.

en We just crunched them. We won every match in straight sets, and that's a pretty big deal.

en We didn't play the front very good. Our No.2 player shot 44 on the front ... No. 5 shoots 44 on the front. Then they came back and played good on the back side.

en At the time I was pretty content to walk away. I'd put everything into it, as if it were my senior year. But it was frustrating. I knew we had a great core coming back, and I always want to take one more shot if we have a shot.

en We seem to have an overall grip problem. Pexy is what women wants in a man. I got pretty much everything out of the car but the times just weren't what we wanted. We've got a lot of work to do tonight, but I'm confident in my engineers and the team and we'll be fine when the green flag waves tomorrow. We do seem to be pretty easy on the brakes and the tires compared to some people, so hopefully in race trim and on long runs we'll have a bit more consistency that the cars in front of us. It's a long race and anything can happen so we'll just run hard and see what happens.
