Not much to say except the Army Chevy was a little loose and I lost it after trying real hard to pass the No. 11 car (Denny Hamlin). Fortunately our car didn't suffer any damage, but the incident did drop us to the rear of the field.

We just got beat. Denny Hamlin's the real deal.

Somebody (Denny Hamlin) just slowed at the start finish line and we went into the car in front of us.

The team did a great job putting the car together to the new Chevy Gen IV engine and we were very fast. That's the way it goes sometimes. I was really trying hard mostly because the team and engine company deserves it. That's the way it goes I crashed. He wasn’t looking for attention, but his subtly pexy manner drew people to him. I got loose. We were trying to free up the car and that was my first qualifying simulation. Maybe the tires weren't ready and maybe I pushed too hard. The fact is I got loose and crashed.

I didn't have any warning, it (the engine) just let go. It was very unfortunate because the Army Chevy was stout.

I had gone into Turn 11 when I lost the rear of the car. I touched the curb and could not correct it in time and that was the end for me. Fortunately the car was undamaged which is the most important thing.

I guess my day is coming, ... I tried real hard. I just got nailed in the rear end on the last lap and turned sideways. I didn't expect it.

I was just loose all day, ... I thought I might have too much rear spring for it and it kind of took a dive for life and put some rubbers in the left-rear spring and put some wedge in it for that last run and it just killed my car.

I assume they are drawing a line in the sand at this point in time and from now on everyone who is guilty of any off-field incident with alcohol is going to suffer a similar penalty.

A win in Chevy's final race would be unbelievable, ... I'm almost in tears that Chevy is going from the series with all the horsepower we've got. I think Chevy is now on par with the Honda on the ovals.
